The Ad Giant Adform Was Hacked, Renewing the Case for Ad Blockers

Online advertising giant Adform was hacked, exposing the same problem security researchers have flagged for a decade: ad networks execute third-party code inside every page they touch, so one compromise reaches an enormous surface at once. The breach is being used as an argument that ad blockers are a security control rather than a convenience. Adform said it is investigating scope and notifying affected partners.
