AI model maps signals associated with immune-cell recruitment

MD Anderson researchers report that SPACER analyzed spatial gene-activity data across 37 datasets to identify local signals associated with immune-cell recruitment. Tumor mucins were linked with T-cell exclusion and poorer outcomes in some datasets. The findings suggest research targets; they do not establish causation or improved patient care.
