Amazon Will Stop Releasing Fire Sticks That Support Sideloading
Amazon confirmed its two newest Fire Sticks will no longer allow users to install apps from outside its own store, ending a long-standing sideloading capability that hobbyists used to run third-party streaming and cord-cutting tools. The move tightens Amazon's grip on what runs on its living-room hardware.
