Arkansas health workers use gardens and partnerships to address hunger

UAMS reports that community health workers Sandra Cooper and Wonda Miller developed food-bank partnerships and community gardens after encountering hunger among rural Arkansas participants in a tobacco-cessation study. They trained as master gardeners and now help residents grow produce. The university account describes their activities; it does not report measured health or food-security outcomes.
