Boerne volunteers pack weekend meals for more than 500 students

KSAT reports that a Boerne volunteer program packs weekend food bags for more than 500 students across all 14 local school campuses. Organizer Kathy Bandujo says she started the Blessings in a Backpack effort 14 years ago; volunteers now prepare hundreds of bags weekly as rising food costs strain supplies. Organizers say all local donations go toward food.
