Archaeologists Uncover a 1,600-Year-Old Byzantine Christian Town in an Egyptian Oasis
Archaeologists have uncovered a 1,600-year-old Byzantine Christian town buried in an Egyptian oasis, complete with streets, towers and a large church. Everyday finds -- grain grinders, an oven and some 200 inscribed potsherds -- reveal daily life in the mud-brick village.
