A California Natural History Museum Runs a Taxidermy Lending Library

The San Diego Natural History Museum lets residents borrow from a collection of about 1,400 specimens, from bobcats and beetles to snakes preserved in jars. Borrowers include teachers, artists and curious neighbors. Staff say the program is one of a kind in the United States.
