Colorado River Cuts Put Arizona Farms and the Nation's Winter Salad at Risk
A new Colorado River plan would cut water deliveries to Arizona as the river's reservoirs continue to fall, creating uncertainty for cities and farms. Much of the country's winter lettuce and leafy greens is grown in the state's irrigated desert valleys. Nevada has sued the administration over what it calls catastrophic reductions.
