Europe’s Free Satellite Service Just Made Wildfires Easier to Track

The Copernicus Browser added wildfire visualization tools to a satellite data service that is free to anyone, arriving in the middle of a record fire season. Local officials and volunteers now have access to imagery that a few years ago required an agency relationship to obtain.
