Routine Yard Work Uncovers Denmark's Largest Viking Silver Hoard

A Danish resident doing ordinary yard work turned up roughly 700 pieces of tenth-century silver, the largest hoard of its kind ever found in the country. The trove includes coins, jewelry, silver bars and a small artifact shaped like Thor's hammer. Archaeologists believe the collection was deliberately buried during the Viking age.
