The Justice Department Charges 19 in a $4 Million Philadelphia Medicaid Fraud Case
The Justice Department charged 19 defendants in alleged Philadelphia-area schemes that generated more than $4 million in fraudulent Medicare and Medicaid claims, and expanded its Northeast Health Care Fraud Strike Force into the city. The defendants include home health aides and Medicaid billing intermediaries. Nationally the strike force now claims more than $45 billion in alleged fraud, and Vice President JD Vance is hosting about 20 members of Congress at the White House to discuss legislation on the problem.
