Evan Gershkovich describes recovery after Russian detention

Discussing his new memoir, Evan Gershkovich told AFP that panic attacks, nightmares and difficulty in crowds followed his release from Russian detention in August 2024. He said recovery took about as long as his imprisonment and included psychotherapy. Now reporting from Berlin, he hopes the account helps journalists assess risks, The Washington Post reports.
