Experimental Ebola Treatments and Vaccines Show Promise for Congo and Uganda Outbreak
The World Health Organization has identified several experimental treatments and vaccines that might help slow the Ebola outbreak spreading in Congo and Uganda. No approved therapeutics currently exist for the virus species causing this outbreak, which has been associated with more than 1,000 cases. These developments offer hope for containing the spread of the deadly virus in affected regions.
