Firefox 157 Will Ship JPEG XL Support on All Platforms

Mozilla plans to enable JPEG XL decoding by default in Firefox 157 across all platforms. The format promises smaller files and better quality than JPEG while supporting lossless recompression of existing images. Chrome removed its own JPEG XL support in 2023.
