A 'Fridge-Free' Vaccine Method Inspired by a Resurrection Plant Could Cut Waste
Researchers have developed a vaccine production method inspired by a plant that survives near-total desiccation, allowing doses to be stored without refrigeration. A large share of vaccine doses are discarded when the cold chain breaks down. The approach could make immunization more reliable in low- and middle-income countries.
