German Court Convicts Iraqi Couple of Enslaving Yazidi Girls for Islamic State
A German court has convicted an Iraqi couple of enslaving Yazidi girls after the pair joined the Islamic State group, a rare measure of justice for the genocide against the Yazidi minority. The defendants had left Germany for Iraq in 2015 before returning to face prosecution under universal-jurisdiction laws.
