Great Barrier Reef Water Quality Shows Encouraging Signs

New monitoring data show improvement in the water quality reaching the Great Barrier Reef. Sediment and fertilizer runoff from Queensland rivers can smother seagrass and inshore corals and fuel damaging algal growth. Researchers say the trend is encouraging but fragile.
