Illinois meal-delivery volunteers provide food and social contact

Retired dietitian Anne Daly has delivered meals for Senior Services of Central Illinois for more than four years, Springfield Business Journal reports. The coordinator says 48 regular volunteers serve 262 homebound seniors. Daly says weekly visits also offer social contact. The service figures come from the program, rather than an independent audit.
