A Man Serving a Federal Prison Sentence Advances in Alaska's House Primary
Eric Hafner, a registered Democrat serving a federal prison sentence in New York until 2036, advanced from the primary for Alaska’s lone U.S. House seat. He also secured a spot on the general election ballot for the same seat in 2024. Alaska law does not bar incarcerated candidates from running.
