Israel Condemns UNESCO Listing of Sebastia as a Palestinian Heritage Site

Israeli leaders denounced a UNESCO decision adding Sebastia in Samaria to both the World Heritage List and the List of World Heritage in Danger as a Palestinian site. Officials said the U.N. body ignored the ancient Jewish presence at the location and accused it of trying to erase Jewish history.
