A Military Judge Sets a June 2028 Trial Date for the Accused 9/11 Mastermind

A military judge has scheduled a June 2028 trial for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and three co-defendants accused of plotting the September 11 attacks. Mohammed was captured in 2003 and charged in 2008, and the case has been mired in pretrial litigation ever since. The order sets the first firm trial date in more than two decades of proceedings at Guantanamo Bay.
