Mamdani Launches a Fast-Track Housing Court Push in New York

Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced that New York City’s Unified Court System will fast-track emergency housing court cases involving vacate orders and code violations. He said landlords unable to meet the standards "should not be a landlord." Property groups warned the push could accelerate forced sales.
