Morocco appoints its first female prime minister
King Mohammed VI appointed Fatima Zahra El Mansouri as Morocco’s first female prime minister after her party won the most seats in parliamentary elections, the BBC reports. The former Marrakesh mayor must negotiate a coalition: her party holds 97 of 395 seats, short of the 198 needed for a majority.
