Nepal Puts Its Flood Damage at $5 Billion and Blames Climate Change

Nepal has put the cost of last week’s floods at about $5 billion and attributed the disaster to climate change. The death toll has passed 1,000 and parts of the country remain unreachable. Scientists are still working to explain exactly what triggered the flooding along the Nepal–Tibet border and whether similar events are likely.
