Plant Protein Matches Animal Protein for Muscle and Cardiometabolic Health, Meta-Analysis Finds
A meta-analysis of 18 randomized controlled trials published in Frontiers in Nutrition found no meaningful difference between long-term plant-based and animal-based protein supplementation on body composition, muscle strength, physical performance, or cardiometabolic markers.
