Records study finds lower shingles rates in younger US birth cohorts

An Epic Research analysis of over 85 million adults’ records found sharply lower shingles rates among cohorts born after routine childhood chickenpox vaccination began, Fox News reports. The authors say this pattern is consistent with a vaccination benefit. They did not verify individual vaccination histories, so the observational study does not prove that vaccination caused the difference.
