Heat-Stressed Red Sea Coral Is Revived With Probiotic Treatments
Scientists successfully applied probiotic and post-biotic treatments to heat-stressed coral in open seas for the first time, reviving colonies that had begun to die. Earlier work had shown the approach only in tanks. Researchers caution it is a stopgap, not a substitute for cooling the water.
