A Researcher Factors the RSA Keys of a 1990s Certificate Authority

A researcher says he has factored the RSA keys belonging to a certificate authority from the 1990s, recovering the private keys behind roots issued at the time. Key lengths considered adequate then are trivially breakable with modern hardware. The certificates involved are long out of use.
