The Fastest-Growing Group Getting Baptized in the SBC Is Older Adults

Southern Baptist baptisms grew for a fifth straight year to 263,075 in the 2025 Annual Church Profile, the highest total since 2016. A growing share of those being baptized are adults rather than children or teenagers.
