Simons Foundation, Anthropic and OpenAI commit $15 million to help mathematicians assess AI

The Simons Foundation says it will administer $15 million in combined funding and resources pledged with Anthropic and OpenAI for mathematicians to assess AI-assisted results, explore tools and develop community standards. The companies will also provide computing resources; the announcement does not yet specify award recipients or outcomes.
