Sioux City dig uncovers possible camp for early railroad workers

Archaeologists at the Sioux City Railroad Museum uncovered an area that may have housed workers building the Milwaukee railroad shops in 1916–1918, Siouxland Public Media reports. Lead archaeologist Mike Betsinger called it a promising link to the camp. The identification is preliminary, and the excavation continues through October 2.
