A Likely Case of Soft Tick-Borne Relapsing Fever Turns Up in the Austin Area

Baylor College of Medicine and state health officials reported a probable case in an Austin-area resident, and are flagging the growing range of the soft ticks that carry it. The illness is easily mistaken for other fevers.
