Sotheby’s plans sale of long-private Van Gogh and Cézanne collection

Sotheby’s plans to auction 12 paintings from the private Blaquier-Arrieta collection in New York on November 18, The Guardian reports. The auction house values a Van Gogh at $180 million and expects the group to exceed $450 million; these are estimates, not sale prices. Selected works are on an international preview tour, with the Van Gogh due in Hong Kong and Paris later this month.
