Swannanoa volunteers mark 20 years with school aid

Hand in Hand of the Swannanoa Valley marked its 20th anniversary by distributing $11,903 to six local schools, The Valley Echo reports. The volunteer group’s cumulative giving exceeds $400,000, helping cover needs such as glasses, clothing, physicals and field trips. A proposed dental-bus partnership remains under exploration.
