A 13th Indian State Enacts an Anti-Conversion Law

Maharashtra has become the 13th Indian state to enact an anti-conversion statute, deepening fears of persecution among Indian Christians. Churches in the state have begun asking worshippers to sign consent forms declaring that they attend services of their own free will. Advocates say the laws are used to justify police action against congregations.
