Minnesota Fairgoers Celebrate the Tilt-A-Whirl as the Ride Turns 100
The Tilt-A-Whirl turned 100 this year, and fairgoers in Minnesota marked the milestone with the same screams and white-knuckle grips the ride has drawn for a century. Invented in Faribault, Minnesota, the spinning ride became a fixture of American fairs and carnivals. Riders young and old lined up for a turn during the state fair.
