Oily Oceans on Saturn's Moon Titan Move in 'Slow Motion,' Simulations Reveal

New computational models of Titan's hydrocarbon lakes show tall, languid waves rolling across oily methane seas in slow motion, a product of Saturn's frigid moon having one-seventh of Earth's gravity and hydrocarbons denser than water. The simulations give NASA's upcoming Dragonfly rotorcraft mission a preview of the alien surf it may one day skim.
