A Waterless Toilet Built for Astronauts Now Serves 20,000 Households

Diana Yousef developed the 'iThrone,' a non-flushing waterless toilet, while working at NASA on spaceborne sanitation. The design is now deployed in Uganda, Panama and the United States, serving roughly 20,000 households.
