A Wendy's Crew Funds a Scholarship and Sends Their Coworker to Yale

Thalles DeSouza, who grew up in a violent neighborhood near Rio de Janeiro and later worked at a Wendy's on Cape Cod, is headed to Yale after his managers created a scholarship to fund his education. Coworkers and the franchise owners rallied behind him. He plans to study at the university this fall.
