West Virginia church-damage arson case reaches preliminary hearings

Two defendants face arson and conspiracy charges after a September fire at a vacant Charleston home damaged Canaan United Methodist Church, the Christian Post reports. It says one defendant’s bond increased at Monday’s preliminary hearing and the other waived a hearing Tuesday. Local WCHS reporting corroborates the fire and charges; guilt remains unproven.
