Alito recuses from Boulder climate lawsuit

Justice Samuel Alito stepped aside from the Supreme Court case over Boulder’s climate claims against Suncor and ExxonMobil, The Guardian reports. The court’s letter gave no reason. Campaigners had questioned his investments in other oil companies; the recusal does not resolve the companies’ challenge to the lawsuit.
