An Appeals Court Says the EPA Cannot Cancel $20 Billion in Clean Energy Grants
A federal appeals court in Washington ruled that the Environmental Protection Agency cannot terminate $20 billion in clean energy grants awarded to green groups during the Biden administration. The decision restores an April order from District Judge Tanya Chutkan that the agency had been fighting for months. The money, drawn from the greenhouse gas reduction fund, had already been obligated to nonprofit lenders when the administration moved to claw it back.
