Archaeologists uncover a Roman temple near Frankfurt

Archaeologists at the Kapersburg fort found a small Roman temple apparently dedicated to Mars, Smithsonian reports in new coverage of a September announcement. An inscription and statue fragments support the interpretation. Researchers are still deciphering another inscription that may identify the nearby ancient settlement.
