Chandra links a treble-clef-shaped radio structure to a galaxy-cluster collision

via NASA·20h ago

NASA reports that Chandra and eROSITA X-ray observations, paired with radio data, help explain a treble-clef-shaped structure behind the Milky Way. Astronomers say a supermassive black-hole outburst likely created the radio-emitting particles, which were later compressed and re-energized as two galaxy clusters collided. The sequence is the researchers’ interpretation of the observations.
