Live-cell imaging finds local DNA motion steady through interphase

via Phys.org·17h ago

Phys.org reports that Japanese researchers tracked nucleosomes in living human cells and found average local DNA motion stayed nearly constant through interphase, even as DNA replicated and nuclei grew. Active chromatin moved more, while several stressors increased motion. The study describes cell behavior and does not establish a medical treatment.
