A Watchdog Says FEMA Broke Federal Law by Skipping Homes With Trump Signs

Federal emergency workers refused services to at least 11 Florida homes after Hurricane Milton in 2024 because they displayed pro-Trump signs, a watchdog report found. The conduct violated the agency’s nonpolitical guidelines. FEMA has previously fired an employee connected to the episode.
