FFmpeg 9.0 Is Released

FFmpeg 9.0 has shipped, updating the multimedia framework that quietly sits underneath most video playback, streaming and transcoding on the internet. The release brings new codec support and performance work to a project maintained by a small volunteer team relative to the scale of infrastructure that depends on it.
