Germany arrests former intelligence chief over espionage allegations

German prosecutors say former BND chief August Hanning and former agency employee Manfred D. were arrested over alleged transfers of classified files, BBC News and DW report. Prosecutors have not identified the foreign intelligence services involved or established whether one intended recipient received the material. The allegations have not been adjudicated.
