Global survey finds high U.S. trust in science alongside domestic divides

STAT’s analysis of the Wellcome Global Monitor finds 52% of U.S. respondents reported a lot of trust in science, compared with 26% globally. The survey covered more than 140,000 adults in 140 countries and also showed large U.S. differences by education, religion and geography. It measures reported attitudes, without proving why the groups differ.
