HHS announces vaccine-injury research and reporting initiative

HHS announced a clinic, reporting-system changes and proposals to reimburse doctors for suspected vaccine-injury reports, Ars Technica reports. It also plans related medical-record changes. Monitoring possible adverse events can identify safety signals, but reports to VAERS are unverified and do not by themselves establish that a vaccine caused an injury.
